Balanced nutrition of agricultural crops requires providing sufficient amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other important elements such as magnesium, sulfur and trace elements. To increase the efficiency of fertilization, especially today, the use of multi-element fertilizers contributes.
It is important to note that the effectiveness of phosphorus and potassium should be evaluated over a longer period of time. Unlike nitrogen, which gives a quick effect after application, P and K are retained by the solid soil phase and have a longer-lasting effect.

Phosphorus and potassium are elements of soil fertility and it is essential to maintain their optimum level in the soil.

Skipping fertilization with these elements is associated with yield losses. The amount of these losses depends on many factors and when it is small it will not significantly affect the economic efficiency, but the long-term practice of skipping fertilization with a given element can lead to significant losses of soil fertility and therefore yield.

Therefore, good practices for sustainable plant nutrition management include regular diagnosis of nutrition conditions and optimization of both rates and appropriate selection of fertilizer forms.
